Alnylam AssistTM is dedicated to providing the best treatment experience possible for patients taking ONPATTRO® (patisiran). The Team is here to do just that—from helping you understand benefits coverage to providing financial assistance for eligible patients, and much more.
Once you decide to start treatment with ONPATTRO® (patisiran), you will be partnered with your own personal Alnylam Case Manager. Case Managers are experienced in helping individuals get started on treatment and providing ongoing support. They will tailor their level of contact based on your personal needs.
Your Case Manager can help you understand your insurance coverage and your options for financial support that you may be eligible for as well as provide you with educational resources.
You also can look to your Case Manager to provide information about infusion centers nearest to you as well as information on transitioning to home infusions if you and your doctor decide that it is right for you. Please note that home infusions may not be covered by all insurance plans.
Patient Education Liaisons
Your Case Manager also can help connect you with a Patient Education Liaison (PEL). PELs are available to meet with you in person or talk to you by phone. Reach out to your Case Manager to learn more about how to contact a PEL.
PELs have backgrounds in nursing or genetic counseling, and are experienced in educating individuals and their families about matters related to hereditary ATTR (hATTR) amyloidosis. PELs can help you in a variety of ways, including providing disease and product education, connecting you to additional resources, and answering questions about treatment.
PELs also can help to educate and bring awareness about hATTR amyloidosis in the community by conducting:
- Patient and family engagement
- Customized education, including one-on-one education and family meetings
- Community outreach and advocacy group engagement
PELs help facilitate educational events about hATTR amyloidosis in communities around the United States. Talk to your Case Manager about finding an event in your area.
